New Horoscopes applicable for the foreseeable future
These unofficial and unsanctioned horoscopes have been revised in light of the great need for us to defeat CVID-19. I’ve sourced The Secret Language of Birthdays by Gary Goldschneider and Joost Elfers, which I reference, heavily. This is an excellent book for getting a greater insight into yourself and those around you as it provides 366 personality profiles, one for each day of the year. I’m not an Amazon fan, but the link provides more information. I’d advise trying your local bookstore or second-hand bookstore to see if they have it.
Aries – The Ram
Aries is the first (fire) and most elemental sign in the zodiac, representing the beginning of all things. Ruled by Mars, Aries is fiery and dynamic. It represents the first seven years of life.
Put all plans to go gamboling about on hold. This is no time to butt heads with those who are asking you to stay home. If you don’t have a fence holding you back, imagine there is one and stay inside it. That will be a challenge, because, like a young child you want to do things and do them now, but at this time you need to withdraw and study this problem from a distance.
Taurus – The Bull
The second sign (earth) of the zodiac represents growth and development from childhood to adolescence. Ruled by Venus, it seeks to make its surroundings beautiful.
No bull, Taurus, stay in the paddock and wait until the day returns when it’s safe to get back to what you really love: sex, food and sports. Take some time to make some art and hang some pictures.
Gemini – The Twins
Moving from adolescence to adulthood, the third sign (air) is ruled by Mercury.
Being the first double sign it clearly indicates the importance of a partner, but being out an about right now could lead you to find a death-partner, rather than a life one, so maybe a little online dating site search, for now. Anyone (or at least many males) who’s tried this knows they can spend hours at it, with little to show, so this might be the perfect time for this since you have so much of it on your hands.
Cancer – The Crab
The fourth sign (water) is ruled by the moon and likened to the time in life when home becomes important as an adult matures.
Eating, sleeping, sexual expression, the sharing of affection or sympathy must be private, regular and satisfying to provide the psychological support you need, so if you happen to be alone, let’s hope you can find ways of doing that and still stay home. Maybe a little, just you and a special friend in, an intimate video chat.
Leo – The Lion
The fifth sign, ruled by the Sun, is the second fire sign and in this case the flame is more in control than for Aries.
Ambition, power and self-confidence are hallmarks of this sign, which brings the full force of a completely mature adult to bear upon the world, but now is the time to stay in the den before venturing out onto the savannah. Your home is your castle – stay there for now.
Virgo – The Virgin
The sixth sign is the second earth sign (after Taurus) and second sign (after Gemini) ruled by Mercury. It represents the movement from mature adult into what is often called mid-life crisis.
The earth itself seems to be into a bit of a mid-life crisis and since Virgo tends to plan and work towards goals, it’s pretty obvious you’ll need to put all that on hold for now, just as everyone on the planet is doing. Your day and ours will come, again.
Libra – The Scales
The seventh sign is the second air sign (after Gemini) and the second sign (after Taurus) to be ruled by Venus.
As the scales suggest, weighing alternatives and a need to find a balance in life is part and parcel of this sign. Sometimes all that leads to a well-considered opinion but it can also lead to indecision. No need to be indecisive, here, though. Stay home. Remember, you are quite able to apply pressure, especially if it’s in everyone’s best interest, so urge others to do the same.
Scorpio – The Scorpion
The eighth sign is the second water sign (after Cancer) and ruled by the dark planet, Pluto.
Scorpio, use your ability to shun human contact to stay home and since you also can assume a dominant position in the family and workplace, use that authority to convince others that now is not the time to be out and about.
Sagittarius – The Archer
The ninth sign and the third and last fire sign (after Aries and Leo) and is ruled by Jupiter.
Sagittarius, you personify the expansiveness and optimism of the human spirit and the ability to see the big picture, so you shouldn’t have any problem realizing that your target right now is staying home. While you love movement and travel, remember you can also be content to stay in one place. And you know where that should be right now.
Capricorn – The Goat
Capricorn, the tenth sign, is the third and last earth sign (after Taurus and Virgo), and is ruled by Saturn and yet considered the first of the more universal signs, along with Aquarius and Pisces.
Use your awareness of how your individual spirit relates to the Universe to close your door and stay home. Yours is naturally a conservative nature, so use it to avoid wandering afield and, instead, climb to the top of the situation, figuratively speaking, and wait for the all clear signal to return to life, hopefully, as we knew it before.
Aquarius – The Water Bearer
Aquarius, the eleventh sign, is the third air sign (after Gemini and Libra) and ruled by Uranus.
Your sign symbolizes advanced thought, so use it to follow guidelines in place, like social distancing, and keep yourself and those around you safe by venturing safely out only when you need to. Don’t let the unpredictable urgings of Uranus convince you to do otherwise.
Pisces – The Fish
The most highly evolved of all signs, it is the last and ultimate water sign (after Cancer and Scorpio) and ruled by Neptune.
Your sign symbolizes the merging of human soul with the Cosmos and that death is only the beginning of a new life, but maybe the rest of us aren’t quite ready yet, so stay home and clean the aquarium or maybe watch the fishing channel on cable.
